How We Can Help

CTT provides services for both Children and Professionals that are tailored to the situation. The following information will show you how CTT could help.

For the Individual

At School

In the Home

Your child might find handwriting difficult (too slow, unreadable, not on lines) and he may be asked to stay in at break time to repeat or complete work

He may be reluctant to join in PE, dislike outdoor games, or appear more awkward than his classmates.

Your child may be disorganised, forgetful and frequently loose things.

The teacher may report your child as disruptive, attention seeking, lazy, struggling to make friends and not doing his best. Conversely, he might be described as having low self esteem, lacking in initiative and not contributing enough in class.

At Home

In the Home

Your child may struggle with dressing himself (slow, organising clothing, difficulty with buttons, zips and shoe laces), using cutlery and cleaning his teeth.

He may appear more awkward than his friends, taking longer to ride a bike or swim. You might spend a lot of time organising your child, such as homework and preparing his school bag for the next day.

You might have a concern that something is wrong, but can't put your finger on it, having worries about your child succeeding in the years ahead.

For the Professional

In the Home

CTT also offers services to other professionals or special interest groups such as consultancy, training, advice, reducing waiting lists or special projects. CTT may offer other therapy services (eg speech and language therapy, physiotherapy) as required.

CTT will accept referrals from parents, GPs, schools, consultants, health professionals, school nurses, Educational Psychologists and child mental health professionals.
